Kaoz Fest 24’

Kaoz Fest was more than just a festival; it was a powerful celebration of freedom, expression, and rebellion. The event was created by Alternative Kaoz, a platform formed in 2020 with a mission to give POC artists the space to fully express themselves without the invisible limits society often places on them. This platform was created to bring back the revolutionary creativity that inspired the legends like Prince, Hendrix, MJ, Parliament - artists who pushed boundaries and reshaped entire genres.

For me, as a shibari performer at Kaoz Fest, being part of this movement felt like contributing to that same legacy of pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and embracing the unconventional. The air was thick with history, esoteric energy, and a vibe of liberation that coursed through every performance. As I self-suspended and tied guests, I felt the powerful connection between my art and the festival’s spirit of sex, music, magick, and history.

The crowd was ready for more than just a show; they were there to experience raw, unapologetic art in all its forms. My performance was an embodiment of that—a personal expression of freedom and power, anchored in the art of shibari but woven into the same fabric of revolutionary creativity that the artists before me had sparked. Every knot, every suspension was a tribute to the legacy of those who fought to express themselves without restraint.

This was more than just a performance. It was a space to be fully ourselves, free of invisible limits, and connected to the larger tapestry of artistic rebellion that has always driven culture forward. Kaoz Fest, and Alternative Kaoz, are here to ensure that this creative revolution continues—where all forms of art, from rope to music to magick, can be experienced in their purest, most powerful form.
